About the Event

This free, family-friendly seasonal gathering weaves our traditional council service with the sacred turning point of the Winter Solstice. As the longest night of the year arrives, we pause to honor the mystery and complexity held in this season of darkness; a reminder that so much of life, the universe, and our own becoming unfolds beyond what we can fully understand. Gathered in the warmth of the yurt, we will reflect on one of our core beliefs: that we are imperfect beings walking an ever-changing path of learning, humility, and growth toward the highest version of ourselves.

The evening will begin with a shared potluck meal, so please bring a nourishing, seasonal, or otherwise meaningful dish to share. While we gather and eat, we will hold our council discussion, exploring what it means to embrace the unknown, honor imperfection, and still choose the steady work of becoming, both individually and collectively.

We will have special activities and crafts for the kids, and rituals for everyone to participate in. Guests are welcome to arrive or leave at whatever time suits their schedules. RSVP is also not required!

Location Details: This gathering is held at HeartSpace, a community yurt available to us by donation. A donation (cash or venmo) at the time of the event is an appreciated offering by the owner who uses donations to keep the yurt heated and maintained. GPS will guide you to the home at the end of the street (street parking is available). There is some directional signage for "Heartspace" around the house and garage which lead you through the garage, up the stairs, and to the back of the home where the yurt is. Please note that due to the stairs, the space is not wheelchair accessible. If you have any issues finding the event location, please message 509-742-0194.
