About the Event
Announcing our first member-led workshop! We are excited to start incorporating activities and workshops led by members to share skills, passions and interests! If you would like to host a future workshop, please let us know!
Join us for a hands-on workshop where we’ll gather as a community to craft our own batch of fire cider, a traditional herbal remedy known for its immune-boosting and anti-inflammatory properties. Coming together to share knowledge, stories, and the healing power of herbs as we create this tonic, perfect for supporting our health through the colder months.
Open to the community and kid-friendly, everyone is welcome to join. We will meet at the Spokane Public Library in Hillyard, using the studio event room.
Please read the following instructions closely in order to reserve your spot:
RSVP and prepayment for ingredients is required. Registration will close 48 hours before the event in order for us to have time to gather supplies. If you are attending with more than just yourself (families, couples, etc.) but only making ONE jar, then you only need to pay once and only one person from your group needs to RSVP. If you would like to make more than one container, please double, triple, etc. the payment accordingly (no need for additional RSVPs for your group). Each completed batch is $15. All ingredients will be sourced from quality organic suppliers, and a quart glass jar will be provided for storage. Please note, we are charging for the supplies/ingredients only. If you feel called to give a few more dollars to go towards the church's expenses (legal fees in particular!), we would be very grateful. If you want to come hang out with the community but not make a batch of fire cider, no RSVP or payment is needed!
For payment: Venmo @Shaleesa-Mize (https://venmo.com/u/Shaleesa-Mize) and in the notes include your name and quantity of batches you are wanting to make. Please do NOT mark the transaction for a business or likewise, as this takes a fee out of the payment that is not accounted for in the cost of the workshop - your payment to us is only a reimbursement for supplies. I will comment on the transaction to let you know I have received your payment. All payments will be non-refundable due to us purchasing ingredients in advance. If you end up not being able to make the event due to sickness, schedule conflicts, etc. we will save your batch for you to pick up at a later time.
