Ancestral Honoring

This month’s community event is a beautiful ceremony led by a member, calling in her lineage to share a guided meditation and ritual in celebration of Día de los Muertos.

The veil of the spirit realms is known to be thinner around this time, so long-held cultural traditions included gathering to call in their ancestors and honor them. It is an opportunity to remember, connect, and celebrate with our loved ones. We invite you to join us for this event, which promises to be a heartfelt tribute to life, love, and remembrance. 

Please bring a photo of and/or item from a deceased ancestor to include in the altar (you will of course be able to take your items back home with you at the conclusion of the event). Due to the nature of this ceremony, please arrive on time and as respect for the sacredness of the container, please plan to stay for the full event.

Location Details:

This event will be held at Heartspace, a community yurt that is provided by donations only. This is a beautiful gift offered by the owner, so we strongly encourage an offering of gratitude within your means. GPS will guide you to the home at the end of the street (street parking is available). There is some directional signage for "Heartspace" around the house and garage which lead you through the garage, up the stairs, and to the back of the home where the yurt is. Please note that due to the stairs, the space is not wheelchair accessible. If you have any issues finding the event location, please call or text 509-742-0194 BEFORE 6:30pm (after this time, the phone will be silenced in respect for the ceremony).
